It's the end of the summer in Kalos and the Future Foundation outpost has generously decided to host a beach get-together for the survivors of the previous rounds of Dangan Roleplay. With a day full of beach fun followed by a night watching the nearby summer festival's fireworks, there's plenty of opportunities to meet up again and have fun with friends and pokémon.

How do you not have oceans? Isn't that, like, the thing you need to live?

Yeah! It's really good, too. [and maybe you'll actually eat it miss avoids-her-food-because-you-can-apparently-become-sick-and-tired-of-eggs]

Nay, we are a landlocked pocket dimension made of magic. [ literally ] There are freshwater sources, but they are not always accessible.

[ MURASA ]

[ look, she lived in a time period where you couldn't eat any kind of meat except for, like, donkey and only during December (don't quote me on that) so eating the same foods over and over again when she doesn't have to is a nightmare, a'ight u lil pink punk ]

Whoa. I don't really get it, but okay! You'll get the hang of it anyway, it's fun. And there's lots of stuff you can see in the ocean!

Ehe. Have you actually been to a party like this before?

[queendoms]

Oh, I have enough experiences with oceans. I did not always live inside of Gensokyo...I have visited Kashuu and Yamato-no-kuni.

Er, I believe they are called "Osaka" and "Nara" these days.

[ shaking her head ]

At a beach? Nay.

Then we can do all the fun things you do at one! We have grilling and picnics down, there's swimming, looking for weird stuff on the beach, splitting a watermelon... Did anyone actually bring a watermelon? I forgot to ask.

...splitting watermelons?

Yeah, you get a stick and blindfold. It's fun! Lots of people do it.

What is the purpose of such an activity? Friendly competition?

That and sharing the melon at the end. It's fun to see who can hit the watermelon when they can't see it!

[queendoms]

Ah, so it requires fine motor control and coordination! Very well, I will take thy challenge of melon destruction...!

It was a party in the hotel. Dave-kun got the flag. Kurehan full-body tackled him down for it.
