It's the end of the summer in Kalos and the Future Foundation outpost has generously decided to host a beach get-together for the survivors of the previous rounds of Dangan Roleplay. With a day full of beach fun followed by a night watching the nearby summer festival's fireworks, there's plenty of opportunities to meet up again and have fun with friends and pokémon.

You and your love novels...you're still looking for good ones, aren't you? I haven't really found any that I think you'd like, myself, but...

That depends on whether or not I'm interested.

Unable to bear the mystery, are we? Well, it's a romance and a suspense... A man is tasked with both protecting a woman from danger, but also making sure she works within the boundaries of the cartel she has to work for. If she tries to escape, he's under order to kill her.

Oh my goodness, that sounds intense! But he winds up falling in love with her, though, right? So he has to choose between his work and his love!

That's right... Of course, with cartels like the one they're working for, it's a live or die situation. Attempting to leave means assassination.

... Still, I'm expecting the usual happy ending with the two getting a happily ever after. It's the only fantastic aspect of these kinds of books - everyone somehow surviving with no consequence.

Would you like it more if one of them died? That'd be so sad!

It's more true to what happens. This is a non-fiction book after all...

It's still really depressing for a love story...I mean, tragedies are always the worst.

Better to have loved and lost than never loved at all as some would say. It can change people for better, or for worse, and it's reading about its influence that makes the story interesting.

S-so cruel to our star-crossed lovers...

Hm... I suppose it is being a little cruel to fictional characters...

I've always preferred a happy ending to a sad one, even if it is just a story, after all. I mean, I think more often than not people deserve them.

Look, if there's one thing I'm convinced about, it's that someone really doesn't want us kicking the bucket for a while.
