It's the end of the summer in Kalos and the Future Foundation outpost has generously decided to host a beach get-together for the survivors of the previous rounds of Dangan Roleplay. With a day full of beach fun followed by a night watching the nearby summer festival's fireworks, there's plenty of opportunities to meet up again and have fun with friends and pokémon.

Me either. I'm glad everybody's homes are kinda settled down. I was worried about a lot of you guys.

[But some of them moved here, and others appear to be doing better than they were. Things seem okay for everybody now.]

Yeah. Sometimes I worry, but we're doing a lot better than we used to be, and I think we're safe now, all of us.

God knows we've all got a ton of backup we can call if we ain't.

You just gotta call the right folks for the job. Like, if you need help organizin' stuff? Isabelle. You want somebody to set your enemy's house on fire? Get Futo.

[sigh] Yeah... Maybe won't call Fuu-chan. The wrong person might get blamed. I already had a couple people offer to take revenge on my extended family, but I'm afraid someone might get hurt again.

It's weird just. Talking about this stuff. Instead of just running away from the subject.

Kid, I'm pretty sure every one of us would take your family out given the chance. Except Isabelle.

[It's always "except Isabelle", isn't it?]

It's a lot more healthy to talk about it. [SAID THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITE EVER HOLY SHIT. His Chansey gives him a Look, which he fails to notice.] But seriously, don't let those people give you any more trouble.

Dad already tried. That... kinda started the whole mess Onee-chan and I got caught up in.

Yeah. We all learned that in the hotel. And I'll try. They have eyes in the school, or they did, but Onee-chan and I and our friends are doing what we can.

Just remember, we've all dealt with worse than them.

[Not that he's gonna show up randomly and blast them with space lasers. Just something to consider if they wanna escalate this thing.]

I guess. Just -- when I think about it, I get scared. And I want to just live and get past what they did to us, or something.

[Meringue abandons the rocks it was rolling around and hugs her side with a "wak."]

...well, good for you. Really, that's a mature way to look at it.

[He, personally, would still rather destroy them. Hope pats his shoulder and offers him an egg, which he takes absentmindedly and then holds out to Haruka.]

Here, you want an egg? They actually taste really good, you can make a heckuva omelette.

Whoa... Really? [She hesitantly reaches out to take it.] That's nice of you. I mean, I don't exactly have anything to offer you right now, unless you want, like, nails and screws.

Nah, don't worry about it. She makes more of 'em than I can really use.

[They are pretty damn large. And he's not enough of an egg fan to eat one every single day, even if there was only ONE a day. She doesn't like hanging onto them; he's pretty sure she just likes people having delicious nutritious food.]

Ehe. It is kinda weird getting used to having them around, but it's fun, fun. [The Psyduck gets more pets.]

Yeah, it is. Hope knows how to make breakfast, for some reason.

[She kinda has trouble reaching some things, but she got a footstool from someplace. Honestly, Harvey's given up questioning her doing whatever she decides to do.]

I wouldn't mind havin' more around, but you can only fit so much into one apartment. Plus I'll have to start travelin' again eventually.

Yep. I'd just finished a two-month tour before everything happened, so bein' gone that long wasn't too bad work-wise. [Personal life, well. His friends kinda all thought he'd just gone back on tour again, at least at first.]

I'm gonna have to pick my schedule back up sooner or later though.

I hope that's fun. It's nice being back and all.

It really is. I've just been takin' the time to actually BE at home.

I've never minded travelin' too much though. [I mean, it's not like he's leaving a family behind or anything when he goes 8D] I'm hopin' I can just hide a Pokeball in my luggage or something so she can come with.

Sure you can! I mean, I smuggle mine into school all the time.

I'd just be worried about flyin'. What would those things even look like on a scanner?

[He honestly really hates flying anyway.]

I dunno... Airport security, the true enemy. Maybe you can get her checked in the pet carrier?

[Hope shrugs, as well as she can with her little arms.] Chan.

But your world's weird. I figured Chanseys in the pet hold counted as weird enough.

Honestly, it's kinda just my life. Hell, not even MY life - I was a normal guy until I met Linkara.

[He rolls his eyes, smiling a little.] You know how it is. Get a new roommate, think he's normal, and suddenly one day you come home to a robot clone tryin' to off him.
